I am lucky that my wife has really taken to baseball in the last few years. Because of this, we spend a lot of time at Target Field during the summer. Sitting there, in the hot sun, I am always amazed that I we are watching grown men play a game for a living.
The ROAD to the "show" can be a long one for many of these players. However, when that call comes to step onto a major league diamond and have the sun cast your SHADOW across a lush, perfectly mown patch of grass, it is all worth it.

Good take on the challenge. Enjoy the game.
ReplyDeleteYou are a good story teller. Bet you could write a book ( if you haven't already ).
ReplyDeleteFrom the look of the ball player's shadow, it must be a few minutes after 12 noon! heehee
Where is Target Field? We go to Citi Field, home of the Mets. We're going to see a game in August, and get this....after the game there will be a concert! Mercy Me will be playing.....I'll be in Heaven! Sorta. lol
Love your story book way of entering. Thanks a lot.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for the kind words.
ReplyDelete@Vivian - Target Field is the home of the Minnesota Twins. This is their 3rd year in the stadium.
Very nice, Jeremy. One day perhaps we will visit that stadium.
